Be Not Ashamed
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord." 2 Tim. 1:7–8
Be Prayerful
Get on your knees. Speak with the Lord in prayer. He is the God of the universe, but He will hear and answer your prayers if you will seek after Him. Pray about the important things of your life — attending school, dating, marriage, children, career..., remembering to always give thanks. The Lord will bless you and guide you.
Holy Ghost
How do we recognize the promptings of the Spirit? That which is of Christ does edify, and if we have that feeling of edification, then we may know that the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, is speaking to us. Keep yourselves open to the inspiration of the Lord. Listen to the whisperings of the Spirit. If we are in an attitude of prayer, if we are in an attitude of anxiously seeking the direction of the Spirit, we will receive it.
God Bless You
Allow the sunlight of faith to warm your hearts so that you might grow in strength and capacity as the years pass. Reach out to your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ as did the good Samaritan. Serve others with a glad heart so that the service which you render is for their good. Make prayer and scripture reading a part of your daily activity wo that you may continue to draw closer to God, enhance your knowledge, and increase your understanding. Be true and faithful to one another so that the coming years will bring you peace, the peace which comes of following the precepts of the Master.
True to the Lord
Be true to the Lord. Live His gospel. He is your strength. He is your salvation. It is He who can bless you. It is He who desires to bless you. Look to Him for every gift and grace and blessing. Get on your knees and pray and stand on your feet and do His will and put your trust and faith in Him and God will bless you.
Youth, Be Good to Your Parents
You are very precious. You really are! You may not think that at times, but you are so very, very precious to your parents. All of their hopes and dreams rest in you. They constantly think and worry about you. They pray for you. They love you with every fiber of their being. Be good to your parents. Treat them with kindness, love, and respect. Let them know you love them.
Parents
Live the kind of lives that your children can look to as they shape their own lives. Isaiah declared, ‘And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord,’ and then he gives this promise, ‘and great shall be the peace of thy children’ (Isa. 54:13).
Set before them an example of righteousness so that they can look to you in times of trouble and stress. Be patient, forgiving, and loving so they feel comfortable coming to you for wisdom and understanding with their problems.
